Die vorliegende Norm enthält die Anforderungen an kontinuierlich feuerverzinkte Flacherzeugnisse mit - sofern bei der Bestellung nichts anderes vereinbart wird - einer Dicke <= 3,0 mm aus den in 4.1 und Tabelle 1 genannten Stählen. Als Dicke gilt die Enddicke des gelieferten Erzeugnisses nach dem Verzinken. Diese Norm gilt für Band aller Breiten sowie für daraus abgelängte Bleche (Breite 600 mm) und Stäbe (Breite < 600 mm). Die lieferbaren Arten, Auflagemassen und Ausführungen des Überzuges sowie die Oberflächenarten sind in den Tabellen 2 bis 4 angegeben. Die Erzeugnisse nach dieser Norm eignen sich für Verwendungszwecke, bei denen die Umformbarkeit und der Widerstand gegen Korrosion von vorrangiger Bedeutung sind. Der durch den Überzug bewirkte Korrosionsschutz ist der Auflagemasse proportional.
