Diese ÖNORM gilt zusätzlich zur ÖNORM EN 13165 für alle werkmäßig endgefertigten Dämmstoffe aus Polyurethan-Hartschaum PUR, die vorwiegend für die Wärmedämmung im Hochbau verwendet werden. Sie enthält anwendungsspezifische Anforderungen. Soweit zur Feststellung der geforderten Eigenschaften in der ÖNORM EN 13165 keine Prüfmethoden genannt sind, ist die ÖNORM B 6010 anzuwenden. Andere Prüfungen (z.B. die Prüfung von Bauwerksproben) sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM. Ergänzend wird noch auf die Einhaltung der "HFKW-FKW-SF6-Verordnung" (BGBl. II Nr. 447/2002) hingewiesen. Diese ÖNORM ist auch für Polyurethan-Hartschaum PUR mit Deckschichten anzuwenden, sofern die Deckschichten bei der Herstellung fertigungsbedingt aufgebracht werden. Diese ÖNORM ist jedoch nicht für Polyurethan-Ortschaumstoff anzuwenden.
