This ÖNORM is used for the testing of the applied surface protection of the carrier material of parts of tubes and plants of the water supply, sewage disposal and purification for the purposes of ÖNORMEN B 5013-1 and 5013-2. For other carrier materials, the provisions of ÖNORM B 5013-4 can be applied analogously. Excluded from testing is the surface protection of machines, machine parts and steel structures and the surface protection of pipes and tanks, which serves only the temporary protection for storage and transport.
