This ÖNORM regulates the special requirements for bridge structures and bearings regarding transport, interim storage, installation, inspection, maintenance and replacement of bearings. This document regulates the protocols for the layer installation and the zero measurement. Furthermore, requirements for the qualification of the warehouse specialist are specified. This ÖNORM applies to all public transport railway, road and pedestrian bridges equipped with bearings in accordance with ÖNORM B 4021:2019, Table 1. Concrete hinges and similar constructions in building construction as well as bearings used exclusively in construction stages are not the subject of this ÖNORM.
