Optionally co-design standards:
The application of this Standard is limited to those glass double and/or case façades where the distance between the 2 glass elements enclosing the ventilated hollow space exceeds 50 cm and the external coating of which is made of heat soaked thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass (HST) according to ÖNORM EN 14179-2 or of laminated safety glass.
This Austrian Standard provides a test method to prove that for a time period of at least 30 minutes the smoke and flame transfer can be hampered by an adequate sealing of the space between the floors, that the load performance remains unaffected in case of a temperature stress according to the reduced unit temperature curve, that the falling off of large parts from the total façade system is prevented and that the fire propagation on the external side is hindered to exceed the first floor situated above the primary fire source.
