Diese ÖNORM legt Anforderungen an aufbereitete (gemahlene) hydraulisch wirksame Zusatzstoffe (kurz: AHWZ, wie z.B. Hüttensand, Flugasche und Kombinationsprodukte) fest, die mit der in dieser ÖNORM festgelegten Feinheit als Zusatz für Beton gemäß ÖNORM B 4710-1 als Zusatzstoff Typ 2 verwendet werden. Diese ÖNORM gilt nicht für Bestandteile, die bei der Herstellung von Zementen nach ÖNORM EN 197-1 verwendet werden. Festlegungen für die Verwendung von aufbereiteten hydraulisch wirksamen Zusatzstoffen bei der Betonherstellung, z.B. Anforderungen an die Zusammensetzung, das Mischen, die Verarbeitung, die Nachbehandlung von Beton, sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM. Für diesbezügliche Festlegungen wird auf ÖNORM B 4710-1 und sonstige nationale Betonvorschriften verwiesen.
