The present ÖNORM contains supplementary provisions to ÖNORM EN 771-1 and is to be used together with it.
This ÖNORM is to be used for
- all factory-made masonry bricks for load-bearing masonry according to ÖNORM EN 1996 (all Parts) (EUROCODE 6) and ÖNORM B 1996 (all parts),
- all factory-made masonry bricks for non-load-bearing masonry in accordance with ÖNORM B 3358-1 and ÖNORM B 3358-2, which are intended to produce masonry in structural and civil engineering.
This ÖNORM is intended for use in masonry in a non-aggressive environment or in a moderately aggressive environment in the sense of ÖNORM EN 771-1: 2015, Appendix B.
