Dieser Teil von ISO 8986 legt die Bedingungen zur Herstellung von Probekörpern und die zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von Ploybuten-1 (PB-1)-Formmassen anzuwendenden Prüfmethoden fest. Der Einfachheit halber werden diese als Polybuten (PB) bezeichnet. Anforderungen an die Behandlung des Probematerials und für das Konditionieren des Probematerials vor der Herstellung der Probekörper und der Probekörper vor der Prüfung sind ebenfalls enthalten.
