Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen an drei Typen von Kunststoffschläuchen mit Textileinlage für allgemeine Anwendungen mit Wasser fest, die für die Verwendung in einem Betriebstemperaturbereich von 10 °C bis 60 °C und bei einem maximalen Betriebsdruck von 25 bar geeignet sind. Diese Schläuche sind nicht vorgesehen für die Anwendung bei der Förderung von Trinkwasser, als Zuläufe von Waschmaschinen, als Feuerwehrschläuche, bei speziellen Landwirtschaftsmaschinen oder als Garten-schläuche für den Verbrauchermarkt. Diese Schläuche können mit Additiven verwendet werden, die den Gefrierpunkt von Wasser bis auf -10 °C verringern.
