Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen für drei Typen nicht faltbarer Kunststoffschläuche mit Textileinlage fest für die Förderung von Wasser bis zu einem maximalen Arbeitsdruck von 2,5 Mpa bei 23 °C und die Anwendung in einem Temperaturbereich von -10 °C bis +60 °C. Die Norm schließt keine Schläuche für einige besondere Anwendungen ein, für die Internatinale Normen bestehen oder in Vorbereitung sind, z. B. - Förderung von Trinkwasser; - Zuläufe an Waschmaschinen; - besondere Landwirtschaftsmaschinen; - Gartenschläuche für den Verbrauchermarkt.
