Dieser Teil der ISO 11806 legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und deren Prüfung für Gestaltung und
Konstruktion für tragbare handgehaltene motorbetriebene Freischneider und Grastrimmer mit Antrieb durch
Verbrennungsmotor und mechanischer Kraftübertragung zwischen Antriebsquelle und Schneidgarnitur fest.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Rasenkantentrimmer oder Freischneider, die mit mehrteiligen, metallischen
Schneidwerkzeugen, z. B. schwenkbare Ketten, ausgestattet sind.
Sie beschreibt Verfahren für die Beseitigung oder Verringerung von Gefährdungen, die durch ihren Einsatz
entstehen. Außerdem legt sie die Art der Informationen für sichere Arbeitsweisen fest, die vom Hersteller zur
Verfügung zu stellen sind.
Dieses Dokument behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse
für diese Maschinen, auch wenn sie unter dem vorgegebenen Zweck und bei vernünftigerweise
vorhersehbarem Missbrauch eingesetzt werden.
