This guideline supports the conception of measuring devices at abstraction points and at stationary, continuously operating drinking water supply systems of drinking water suppliers. The target group of this publication are operators of drinking water supply systems, planners, experts and authorities. This guideline summarizes the most common measuring methods and the parameters to be monitored. It serves as a basis for the planning and control of drinking water supply systems and the necessary activities within the framework of self-monitoring and their documentation. ÖVGW guideline W 107 describes the measuring equipment of chemical disinfection processes in more detail. The emergency water supply is dealt with in the ÖVGW guideline W 74, Drinking water emergency supply.
