The present Austrian Standard shall be applied to all factory-made insulating products used for thermal and/or sound insulation of technical building equipment and industrial installations, and for which harmonized European product standards are available. It includes minumum requirements as well as synoptic tables concerning the fields of application for the different types. The relevant test methods are specified by the respective product standards. Other tests (such as testing of already installed insulating products) are not dealt with by this ÖNORM. Other supply forms of insulating products (insulating products installed on application site) and bonded pipe systems according to ÖNORM EN 253 are not within the scope of this ÖNORM.
