Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für Feldabstandhalter für Bündelleiter in Freileitungen. Es umfasst starre, flexible und dämpfende Feldabstandhalter. Es ist nicht anwendbar für Feldabstandhalter zwischen Außenleitern, ringförmige Feldabstandhalter und Erdungsabstandhalter. In manchen Fällen wird die Festlegung der Prüfverfahren und Prüfwerte dem Käufer und Lieferanten überlassen; in diesen Fällen werden die vereinbarten Prüfverfahren und Prüfwerte im Kaufvertrag festgelegt. Der Käufer kann die vorgesehenen Betriebsbedingungen am besten beurteilen, welche die Grundlage für die Festlegung des Prüfschwierigkeitsgrades sein sollten. In Anhang A sind die technischen Mindestanforderungen, die zwischen Käufer und Lieferant zu vereinbaren sind, aufgelistet.
