Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen für vier Arten von textilverstärkten, thermoplastischen,
faltbaren Wasserschläuchen für allgemeine Anwendungen in einem Temperaturbereich von -10 °C bis +55 °C
fest.
Solche Schläuche werden wie folgt eingeordnet in vier Klassen: Niederdruck, ausgelegt für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 4,0 bar bei 23 °C und bis zu 2,0 bar bei
55 °C; Mitteldruck, für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 7,0 bar bei 23 °C und bis zu 3,6 bar bei 55 °C; Hochdruck, für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 10,0 bar bei 23 °C und bis zu 5,1 bar bei 55 °C, sowie Extra-Hochdruck, für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 15,5 bar bei 23 °C und bis zu 7,9 bar bei
55 °C.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Produkte zur Verwendung bei der Brandbekämpfung oder den Transport von
Trinkwasser.
