Diese Internationale Norm stellt eine Leitlinie für die Auswahl von Prüfverfahren zur Bewertung der Gebrauchseigenschaften von emaillierten Erzeugnissen in verschiedenen Anwendungen dar. Sie nimmt Bezug auf verfügbare Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften dieser Erzeugnisse und setzt diese Eigenschaften in Beziehung zu Anforderungen an spezifische, emaillierte Erzeugnisse. Diese Norm bezieht sich größtenteils auf Prüfverfahren, die in Internationalen Normen von ISO beschrieben sind, und legt keine Annahmekriterien oder Grenzen der Gebrauchsfähigkeit für die Eigenschaften fest. Diese Internationale Norm gilt für alle emaillierten Erzeugnisse unabhängig vom Grundmetall.
