In dieser Norm wird ein Bezeichnungssystem für thermoplastische PP-Formmassen festgelegt, das als Grundlage für Spezifikationen dienen kann. PP-Formmasse-Typen werden mit Hilfe eines Einteilungssystems von einander unterschieden, das auf geeigneten Wertebereichen der kennzeichnenden Eigenschaften und Informationen über grundlegende Polymer-Parameter, vorgesehene Anwendung und/oder Verarbeitungsverfahren, wichtige Eigenschaften, Additive, Farbstoffe, Füll- und Verstärkungsstoffe beruht. Diese Norm ist anwendbar für alle PP-Homopolymere, Copolymere des Polypropylens mit einem Massenanteil anderer Olefine von weniger als 50 % und Mischungen von Polymeren bestehend aus mindestens 50 Gew.-% der vorgenannten Polymeren. Die Norm ist nicht anwendbar für Kautschuk auf Basis Polypropylen
