Dieser Teil der ISO 18218 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Alkylphenol (Nonylphenol und Octylphenol) und Alkylphenolethoxylat (Nonylphenolethoxylat und Octylphenolethoxylat) in Leder und Prozesshilfsstoffen fest. Die Analyse basiert auf Hochleistungsflüssigkeitschromatographie (HPLC) oder Gaschromatographie-Massenspektrometrie (GC-MS). Die Analyse des Alkylphenolethoxylats wird durch Spaltung von Alkylphenolethoxylat und die Messung des freigesetzten Alkylphenols durchgeführt.
