Diese Internationale Norm legt die qualitätsbezogenen Brennstoffklassen und Spezifikationen für feste Biobrennstoffe aus Rohmaterial und verarbeitetem Material fest, die aus folgenden Quellen stammen: a) Forstwirtschaft und Baumkultur; b) Landwirtschaft und Gartenbau; c) Aquakultur. Chemisch behandeltes Material darf halogenierte organische Verbindungen oder Schwermetalle nicht in höheren Konzentrationen enthalten, die über denen der typischen Werte für erntefrisches Material oder der typischen Werte für das Herkunftsland liegen.
