Die Anforderungen an Plichten und Vertiefungen auf Wasserfahrzeugen mit Rumpflängen bis 24 m, die als wasserdicht oder schnell-lenzend bezeichnet werden, sind festgelegt. Die Größen und Formen der Plichten und Vertiefung werden nicht geregelt. Berücksichtigt wird nur die Entwässerung mittels Schwerkraft. Als Kriterien werden unter anderem die Mindestabmessungen der Abflüsse, die Entwässerungszeit und die Süllausführungen herangezogen. In den Anhängen sind entsprechende Erläuterungen und Berechnungsmethoden für die Umsetzung angegeben.
