Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Palladium in Palladium-Schmucklegierungen, vorzugsweise im Bereich eines Feingehaltes wie in ISO 9202 festgelegt. Die Bestimmung erfolgt mittels Optischer Emissionsspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppelten Plasma (ICP-OES, en inductive coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry).
Die empfohlene Palladiumkonzentration der Legierungen liegt zwischen 500 Promille und 950 Promille Palladium.
Dieses Verfahren ist als empfohlenes Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Reinheit in Legierungen, wie in ISO 9202 angegeben, vorgesehen.
