Dieses Dokument legt Prüfverfahren für die Ermittlung und Darstellung von Vielpunkt-Kennwerten fest, die das Verhalten von Kunststoffen gegenüber den folgenden Umgebungseinflüssen darstellen:
- langanhaltende Wärmeeinwirkung;
- flüssige Chemikalien;
- umgebungsbedingte Spannungsrissbildung unter konstanter Zugspannung;
- künstliche Bewitterung.
Die Prüfungen sind in der Reihenfolge zunehmender Schärfe der Umgebungseinflüsse aufgeführt. Durch anfängliche Prüfung bei den am wenigsten scharfen Umgebungseinflüssen ist es möglich, fundierte Entscheidungen zu treffen, ob Prüfungen unter schärferen Bedingungen sinnvoll sind.
