Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen an Gestaltung, Werkstoffe, Konstruktion, Einbau und
Prüfungen für fest eingebaute Kraftstoffsysteme für Hubkolben-Verbrennungsmotoren fest.
Sie findet Anwendung auf alle fest eingebauten Kraftstoffsysteme für Dieselkraftstoff und Ottokraftstoff und
zwar von der Kraftstofffüllöffnung bis zu der Verbindungsstelle mit dem Antriebs- oder Hilfsmotor für durch
Einbau- und Außenbordmotoren angetriebene kleine Wasserfahrzeuge bis 24 m Rumpflänge.
Anforderungen an die Ausführung, Werkstoffe, Konstruktion und Prüfung für fest eingebaute Kraftstofftanks
liegen in ISO 21487 vor.
