Diese Norm legt eine Freibewitterungsprüfung von Beschichtungssystemen für Holz im Außenbereich fest. Die Prüfung ist ein Mittel zum Beurteilen des Leistungsverhaltens von Holzbeschichtungssystemen, die dem Wetter ausgesetzt sind. Sie ist die Grundlage für die Erfüllung der Lieferspezifikation, die als EN 927-2 veröffentlicht werden wird. Das Prüfverfahren ist anwendbar auf Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungssysteme, die hauptsächlich zur Dekoration und zum Schutz von geschliffenem Holz dienen.
