This Austrian Standard specifies the design and execution as well as the use, maintenance and testing of permanent safety devices for later use, maintenance and repair works on roofs. The present ÖNORM contains requirements for the planning of temporary measures.
Furthermore this ÖNORM contains in an informative annex a possible classification of roof surfaces in terms of safety devices depending on the use and the group of persons. This Austrian Standard does not apply for safety measures in construction work in the strict sense.
