Konrad Scheiber

Konrad Scheiber has been the CEO of Quality Austria Trainings- Zertifizierungs- und Begutachtungs GmbH since its establishment in 2004. The native of the Tyrol was already involved in founding the organizations offering system and product as well as training and personal certification that award the Austria Quality Seal for Austrian products and services and continue to be the shareholders of Quality Austria today. Scheiber started his career in research and development at Plansee. His instructor training at the German Association for Quality (DGQ), completed in 1984, marks his entry into the world of quality management – he has trained around 8,000 quality managers and auditors himself ever since.

Konrad Scheiber authored numerous articles and publications on quality assurance, including "Praxiswegweiser Qualitätsmanagement" providing practical guidance on ISO 9000. In addition, he vigorously promoted the idea of an endowed chair for integrated quality design at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. Scheiber is familiar with the development of standards, for example, given the many years he collaborated in the former "Technical Committee for Quality Assurance". For him, standards simply are "the measure of all things". Konrad Scheiber is a member of the Austrian Council for Sustainable Development, a Senator of Austrian Economy, the First Vice President of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ) and a long-standing member of the Presidential Council of Austrian Standards.
